About this video: In this video, we show you how to play Minecraft Bedrock Edition with your friends. Minecraft Bedrock Edition is all Minecraft Edition outside of the Java Edition. So this is Minecraft Pocket Edition, Minecraft Window Edition, Minecraft for Xbox, and Minecraft for Playstation. All of these versions can play together and work together using the method outlined in this video. It is actually pretty easy to play Minecraft Bedrock Edition with your friends, so without anymore delay, here is how to play Minecraft Bedrock Edition with your friends!

First things first, you will need to be logged into an Xbox/Microsoft account on your Bedrock game in order to play with your friends. You can do this by clicking the ‘Sign In’ button on the right-hand side of the Minecraft Bedrock main menu. If you don’t see a Sign In button on the main menu, you are already signed in.

After you have signed in to Minecraft Bedrock Edition, you will need to add who you want to play with as a friend on Xbox. You can do this in-game, but doing it from the Xbox App or Xbox website can be easier in some cases. You will need the gametag/username of the player you are trying to play Minecraft Bedrock Edition with. We will go over how to add a friend in Minecraft Bedrock Edition later.

Now, we can open up the world we want to play with our friend. Any of your Minecraft Bedrock worlds can easily be played with your friends. In some cases, you won’t be able to invite your friends once we get in game because you have multiplayer disabled. In that case, click on the pencil/editor button. Click on the ‘Multiplayer’ button and make sure the Multiplayer Game button is clicked. You can also control who can join.

Finally though, open up the Minecraft Bedrock world you want to play with your friends. Once you are in-game, hit the pause button. On the right-hand side, you will see a big ‘Invite to Game’ button. Click that, and you will see a list of your friends. Select them from this list and click ‘Send Invite’. You can also click the ‘Add Friend’ button to add a friend from Minecraft Bedrock. Keep in mind though this sometimes doesn’t work and the Xbox app or website will still need to be used.

Once the invite is sent, your friend will be able to accept it to join your game. Congratulations! You now know how to play Minecraft Bedrock Edition with your friends!
