About this video: This video will show you how to download and install JourneyMap in Minecraft 1.19. This will allow you to have a full-size map in Minecraft 1.19 as well as add a minimap to Minecraft 1.19. Why would you want to get a map in Minecraft? Well, adding a map allows you to do a few things. First, you will be able to get waypoints. This makes returning to locations way easier. Secondly, you can use a minimap to see biomes and entities around you, and lastly, you can use the full-size map to get see your Minecraft world change and evolve over time.

The first step of getting the JournyMap Minecraft map for 1.19 is downloading and install Forge. You can finder complete Minecraft 1.19 Forge tutorial in the description above. It goes over everything from where to download Forge to how to install Forge to how to make sure Forge is working for your Minecraft map mod in 1.19, it covers it all.

Once you have Forge, we can move on to downloading JourneyMap. You can find a link to download the Journey Map mod in the description above. That will take you to our text tutorial for getting Journey Map 1.19. On this page, scroll down and click the yellow ‘Download JourneyMap’ button. You will then be taken to the official Minecraft minimap mod download page. On this page, look at the right-hand side and scroll download the ‘Minecraft 1.19’ section. Then, click the orange download button next to the 1.19 version of Journey Map. Just make sure you keep or save the file that downloads.

With JourneyMap downloaded, we can move on to how to install the Minecraft map mod for 1.19. Do this by opening up the Minecraft Launcher. Then, click ‘installation’ at the top. Hover over the Forge installation and click the folder that appears. Your .minecraft folder will open. In this folder, you should have a mods folder. If you don’t, simply create one.

Finally, to install Journey Map in Minecraft 1.19, drag-and-drop the JourneyMap file you downloaded into this mods folder. You have now added a minimap to Minecraft 1.19!

You aren’t complete finished yet though. You still need to open up Minecraft with Forge by going back to the Minecraft launcher, clicking installations, hovering over Forge and click the green play button that appears. Click the green play button on the next screen, and Minecraft 1.19 will open up with a map mod.
