About this video: This video is a step-by-step guide on how to change your skin in Minecraft Java Edition. From how to get skins in Minecraft Java Edition to how to add a skin to Java Minecraft on PC, we really do cover it all. Why would you want to get a skin in Minecraft Java Edition? Well, skins are a great way for you to customize your character. They show up on your player when on servers, and can truly let you express yourself. We even link out to how to make your own Minecraft skin if you don’t want to download one. Nevertheless, let’s jump right on into how you can change your Minecraft skin!

First things first, we need to download some Minecraft skins. You can find a link in the description above to a website that has thousands of Minecraft skins for you to choose from. Literally any kind of Minecraft skin that you can think of is available to be downloaded. They are easily searchable allowing you to get any Minecraft Java Edition skin you want.

After you have your Minecraft Java Edition skin downloaded, you will need to open up the Minecraft Launcher. You can now install skins directly from the Minecraft 1.18 Launcher making it much easier to change your skin Minecraft 1.18 Java Edition than it was in older versions of Minecraft.

With the Minecraft Launcher open, click on ‘Skins’ at the top. You will be taken to the Minecraft Java Edition skins section. To get a skin in Minecraft Java Edition, click the ‘+ New Skin’ button. Then, name the skin and select the Classic or Slim player model that you want. Next, click the ‘Browse’ button and find the skin image you downloaded earlier. When you have selected, it click open. You will be taken back to the Minecraft launcher and your skin will be selected.

Click the ‘Save & Use’ button in the bottom right, and your skin will be activated! You can add in more skins to your skin Library and easily switch between them from the launcher. This makes using multiple Minecraft skins really easy for Java Edition 1.18. Just hover over another skin, and click ‘Use’ to start using it.

You can now open up Minecraft 1.18 and your new skin will be selected! Thus, you now know how to change your skin in Minecraft Java Edition 1.18!
